About Chris
Chris is a former senior military officer with a proven track record in high-pressure, high-level leadership and decision-making. His contributions were recognised in 2012 with The Queen’s Commendation for Valuable Service. He has spent over 26 years leading, mentoring, and coaching in some of the toughest crisis leadership environments imaginable.
His journey is one of real-world leadership that few have experienced: front-line combat in Afghanistan, commanding complex global military operations, shaping government and defence strategy, mentoring NHS executives during the COVID pandemic, masterminding Afghan police training during some of the most challenging periods in modern military history and supporting elite athletes to become sporting leaders.
His ability to translate leadership principles and strategy across sectors gives the Virtus Performance Group a unique mentoring proposition - built on his experience. He knows what it means to lead when the stakes are highest, and he’s passionate about helping others develop the confidence, resilience, and clarity to do the same.
